Privacy Policy

Last updated October 2026

ACERO ("ACERO", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Who we are

ACERO is a private security firm based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. You can reach us about anything in this policy at contact@acerosec.com.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to give us, and the basic technical information needed to run the website:

  • Details you send through our contact form: your first and last name, phone number, email address, your message, and the page you were on when you wrote to us.
  • Information you share when you email us or message our operations line.
  • Technical information processed by our hosting provider to deliver and protect the website, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages requested.

The website stores a small setting in your browser (for example, that the opening animation has already played, or your language). It does not identify you and is not used for advertising.

Analytics

We may use analytics tools in the future to understand how visitors use the website, such as which pages are visited, the type of device used and the approximate region. Where a tool relies on cookies or similar technology, we will ask for your consent before it runs, and we will name the provider in this policy.

How we use your information

  • To answer your enquiry, prepare a proposal or quote, and provide the services you request.
  • To operate, maintain and protect the website.
  • To meet our legal and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We will not send you marketing emails unless you have expressly agreed to receive them, as required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL).

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers who help us run our business and only for that purpose, for example our form-delivery service, email provider, website host and messaging service. Some of these providers may store or process information outside Canada, including in the United States, where it may be subject to the laws of that country.

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect the safety of a person.

Consent

By sending us your details, you consent to our using them as described in this policy. You can withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us, although this may limit our ability to assist you.

How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above and for our legal and business records, after which it is securely deleted.

How we protect it

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No method of sending information over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send highly sensitive details through the contact form; tell us instead and we will arrange a secure channel.

Your rights

You may ask to see the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by writing to contact@acerosec.com. We will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 through it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
